The LV5900 series radio frequency level transmitter is designed for continuous level measurement of conductive and non-conductive liquids, granular materials, slurries and interface applications. The electronics incorporate an “anti-coat” capability to compensate for the effect of conductive coatings which may build up on the sensing element surface. (Use the LV5200 Series elements, page K-31, for conductive coating liquids.) The 4-20 mA output is isolated and has an adjustable damping for turbulent level monitoring. The analog output is field-selectable for direct or reverse operation. The blind transmitters can be remotely mounted up to 15 feet from the sensing element. Three accessories required are a threaded adaptor, LV5971, which screws into the bottom of the enclosure to provide a surface mount; an explosion-proof junction box, LV5972, which mounts onto the level element in place of the transmitter; and a triaxial cable, LV5974-10 or 15 feet, to connect the junction box to the transmitter.
